Massage & Trigger Point Release:
- Uses manual and assisted methods to smooth out knots and reduce muscle soreness.
- Different strokes, speeds are used for different areas
- Drains fluid and encourages lymph movement.
- Trigger point release
Bodywork:
- Uses manual manipulation of the body and includes all forms of stretching.
- Passive stretches are those I perform for the horse. (Stretching out a leg, neck, tail)
- Active stretches are those the horse performs. (Carrot stretches)
- Myofascial Release allows the body to relax by removing the “knots” at the initiating trigger point
- Rolfing is a specific way of separating fascia adhesions.
- Joint extension
Bio-Mechanics:
- Uses specific training techniques to strengthen muscles in the proper order to optimize their development.
- Many of these are “familiar” methods, like ground poles & cavaleti, but applied in a non-traditional method.
- Body & Limb awareness
Micro Current:
- Does NOT hurt.
- Uses a mild electrical current to stimulate muscle contraction and exercise stiff areas
- Can not be used directly on tight muscles. Tight muscles can not contract any more.
- Can be used on adjacent muscles to stop the nerve signals to contract
- Can be used on acupressure points for longer stimulation of each point
- Can work on multiple areas at the same time
Cold Laser:
- Does NOT hurt and will not burn
- This refers to the wavelength of energy output by the laser
- It stimulates the nerves in muscle and interferes with the contraction command
- It penetrates about 1” deep
- It can be used to stimulate acupressure points
- Can reduce swelling & pain
- Helps wounds heal by inhibiting bacteria growth & stimulating the production of collagen to seal the wound
- Helps to prevent formation of proud flesh
Pulse Electro Magnetic Field: For Horse or Human, Dogs or Cats
- Does NOT hurt.
- Uses an adjustable strength Magnetic pulse to stimulate cellular repair
- The Magnetic Field creates it’s own relaxation/contraction that overrides the body’s signals. This results in residual stimulation that can last for hours.
- Reduces inflammation, increases bone repair, treats arthritis, & more!
- Can be used diagnostically to better focus conventional Massage
- Only Available at select times/days.
